How quickly time passes: Seemingly just a few weeks after leaving VfL Wolfsburg for AS Monaco, I have already completed the front leg of my first League 1 season. Thanks to a 2-1 victory vs. Stade Rennes, we’re heading into winter break with a full head of steam, having won our last four to maintain 2nd place in the league table. Our mild case of November depression is definitely a thing of the past.
Personally, I am feeling very positive about my time here in Monaco so far. The club’s immediately made me feel at home and has more than lived up to its billing as one of Europe’s top organizations. It’s a highly professional environment and I couldn’t ask for more, both on and off the pitch. My family is thoroughly happy here and we’re all enjoying the benefits of the mediterranean lifestyle surrounding us.
In that sense, I would like to wish all of you a merry xmas and a very happy and healthy new year! Thank you for your continuous support – it would be great to have you in my corner again in 2018!
